    About

The website thetyphon.com was originally started in 2007 as a showcase site for the work of Victoria after graduating from Dundee University where she studied Interactive Media Design.

Although the site was started for prospective employers as a brand for freelance work it has also been used to attract full time employment. Recently it has undergone yet another transformation into a professional blogging website about advances in the areas of design technology, inspirational articles from other blogs, and craft articles – which include knitting and pottery.

The intention of adding a blog to the site is to reveal a little more about the thought processes behind design decisions and also just to showcase items which may be of interest to other design professionals.

Another blog can be found online which is of a more personal nature and mainly contains musings on everyday life at Deviantart.

Clients that Victoria has worked with include employers from the following sectors.

    - Online gaming
    - Educational groups
    - Adult educational training organisations
    - Bands and music centered companies
    - UK Government bodies

The name The Typhon was chosen from ancient greek mythology where it is described as a Hydra like creature with 100 dragon heads, it also tried to replace Zeus as king of the gods on Mt. Olympus and was instead imprisoned inside Mt. Etna. In context of the site Typhon is used as a metaphor for the multiple skills needed and used by modern designers.

If your looking for more information on The Typhon you can find it on wikipedia.

Eventually over time The Typhon site may evolve into something else again but until then I hope you enjoy browsing the site and thanks for visiting!
